Renowned Artist Karen Moriarty has been chosen by the Tribute to Ruth Lyons to paint the first portrait since the legendary broadcaster and community leader’s retirement in 1967. Mrs. Lyons passed away in 1988.

Moriarty’s rendition of Lyons will soon be made available to surrounding area art galleries throughout Indianapolis, Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati. The portrait’s final destination is yet to be determined.  Prospective locations include Cincinnati’s Ruth Lyons Lane or one of the Midwestern hospitals benefitting from the Ruth Lyon’s Christmas Fund.
